NEW KATY CD!
4-18-17
Where The Heart Is, Katy Moffatt's brand new album, is now available! It's a gorgeous collection of 11 songs, with two new originals by Katy and four more originals that Katy co-wrote with other noted songwriters, including David Wilkie and Tom Russell. Released on the Centerfire Music label, Where The Heart Is was recorded and produced in Colorado by David Wilkie and Butch Hause. The album also showcases compositions by more of North America's finest songwriters: the beautiful opening cut "I Know" was written by Katy's brother Hugh Moffatt and sets the tone for what is to follow. It's a challenge to pick one track that stands out from all the rest, but Katy's exquisite performance of Mickey Newbury's "Genevieve" is breathtaking. Where The Heart Is takes an incredible journey through songs and stories of sadness, madness, heartache, heartbreak, love and hate, courage and murder, assassination, exhilaration, bravery and slavery. This album has it all! This is Katy at her finest. Raw, powerful, sweet, and gentle. Click here to purchase.

NEW KATY/HUGH DUET CD AVAILABLE!
2-22-16
Now and Then, an album of duets by Hugh and Katy Moffatt is now available! Katy has this to say about the project: "A few of these songs we sang when we first started singing together, around 45 years ago. Some we admired and sang separately for many years. Others we learned just for this album. All were a labor of love to record. There is one original of Hugh’s, and all of these songs have been around for a while. We hoped to put a neo-old-time sheen on them; they certainly put one on us. We are grateful to the facilitator of this project, Gail Davies, to whom we dedicate this album. This was a Gail Davies family affair, recorded in her home studio with her friend and housemate Rob Price engineering and adding bass. Gail’s son, Chris Scruggs, contributed banjo, dobro, mandolin, pedal steel, and on one track, cross-picked swing guitar. Gail herself did the art direction for our modest CD package. It’s safe to say this record would not exist without her. Click here to purchase.
